La Variété Française: Seraphim Singers' 15th-Anniversary Celebration

Whether it be quiet sensuality or majestic grandeur, French choral music from the twentieth century has an unmistakeable, distinctive character. The Seraphim Singers, with organists Glenn Goda and Heinrich Christensen, delve into this diverse repertoire ranging from motets of Poulenc, Messiaen, and Milhaud to the massive "Messe Solennelle" for two organs and choir by Vierne and the "Messe en style ancien" by Langlais. This is the second concert in Seraphim's 2011-2012 season.
