Turning the coin, John Adams's "Shaker Loops" explores the prayerful, the physical, and the ecstatic. between these two works comes a new double concerto by Kip Jones (featuring Jones and Crier bassist Karl Doty) that seamlessly blends the gravity of classical music with the relaxed intimacy of the fiddling tradition.
