Beyond Quilting

Engage in a series of explorations with fabric. Start with various fabric bases (canvas, linen, muslin, cotton), and their reaction to dyes. Paint and print on fabric with stamps, blocks and stencils. Stitch and bind with traditional and non-traditional materials including embroidery floss, twine and wire. Finally, layer different kinds of fabric, and create volume with stabilizers and stuffing. Finish with new ideas, techniques and inspiration to continue your own work.
