Schola Cantorum sings Lasso & De Rore

Schola Cantorum presents "Music for Carnival," featuring madrigals of Cipriano de Rore and playful, giddy villanelli for Carnivale. Lasso wrote widely in many styles, from earthy, profane madrigals and chansons to the most serious of Latin sacred music. Schola will sing Lasso's grand Magnificat based on de Rore's madrigal “Ancor che col partire”.
