Primary Source Concert: Mozart & Beethoven

Between House and Stage: Public and Private Music Making in the 18th Century: Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” arranged for String Quartet and Beethoven’s Septet for winds and strings. First editions of the Magic Flute, including 18th C. chamber music arrangements, and artifacts from early performances of the opera will be on display and discussed in a short talk at the start of the performance.
