Adams Park, Roslindale Village

Smack in the middle of Roslindale Village, this picturesque tree-lined park is one of the only "town commons" in all of Boston's neighborhoods. Adams Park is a community gathering place and the location of one of the largest farmers' markets in Boston. Every Saturday from June to October up two 3000 visitors and shoppers make their way to Adams Park to buy fresh, local produce from any one of several farms represented and up to 20 other vendors selling arts and crafts, handmade pottery, clothing, soaps, artisan breads and baked goods as well as an assortment of other food related products such as locally produced BBQ sauces, jams and honey, as well as meat, eggs and beef and cheese from local farms. The farmers market is from 9am to 1:30pm. Adams Park is aldo the site for the annual Easter Egg Hunt (the Sat before Easter) and attracts 100's of children and families, and a Christmas tree lighting program the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. The park is maintained through fundraising efforts by Roslindale Village Main Street.
