Family Day

In honor of Black History Month the Main Library is holding a Family Day, Back to Basics, Back to Books program. Indaba Theatre will present both living statues of Black inventors and a play, 12-1pm. The Black Dolls Collectors will host 2 craft programs: African Wrap Dolls, and paper figures of Black inventors. Tours, refreshments, and music from the South Middle School band will add to the festivities. Free calendars for 2012-2013 honoring Black Inventors will be made available thanks to sponsors such as Ten Islands Inc., Jose Lobo Andrade and Walgreen's on South Main Street managed by James Mahoney.
