In 1928 the painter and Bauhaus master Lyonel Feininger took up the camera and began to explore a range of avant-garde photographic techniques with stunning results. This gallery talk, given in conjunction with the exhibition Lyonel Feininger: Photographs, 1928–1939, will feature Feininger’s cameras, the materials he used, and examples of his experiments with night photography, negative printing, enlarging, and multiple exposures.
