Teaching in the Art Museum: An Evening with the Authors

Burnham and Kai-Kee, authors of "Teaching in the Art Museums: Interpretation as Experience," consider what constitutes a meaningful experience of art, and how museum educators can help to create such encounters. At 6 p.m. Kai-Kee will offer a history of museum education, and at 7 p.m. Burnham will discuss knowledge and freedom in the context of museum teaching. Before the lectures, meet in the Sackler lobby at 2 p.m. for a discussion with Kai-Kee and a book signing and reception with both authors at 5 p.m.
