The Jazz Composers Alliance will present a program of new creative music featuring compositions for the 19-piece JCA Orchestra by resident composers Jim Hobbs, Darrell Katz, Bob Pilkington, and Norm Zocher.
The concert will premiere Katz’s second improvisational cantata, Wheelworks, an 8-movement piece built around quotations of Albert Einstein concerning bicycles and the nature of life, learning, war, and peace. says Willard Jenkins of Jazz Times “.... every community should have one”.
