Music of Tadd Dameron

Dameron, one of the fathers of modern jazz along with his friends Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, wrote much more exceptional music than even fans realize. Paul Combs, Dameron's biographer and veteran jazz saxist, leads a quintet with Jim Cameron, saxes, Don Hemwall, piano, Herman Hampton, bass, and Stanley Swann, drums, to play Dameron's unknown gems as well as some of his well-known favorites like "Good Bait," "Lady Bird," and the perennial singer's choice "If You Could See Me Now."
