Amy Meltzer, an accomplished fiber artist from Cambridge, featured as its “Artists’ Showcase” from April 28 through May 23. Meltzer creates one of a kind hand dyed silk Shibori scarves that are dyed multiple times using Shibori techniques to create layers of texture in luscious and vibrant colors. Shibori is a Japanese term for several methods of dyeing cloth with a pattern by binding, stitching, folding, twisting, clamping or compressing it.
