Brenda Wineapple’s book, White Heat: The Friendship of Emily Dickinson and Thomas Wentworth Higginson, won the Washington Arts Club National Award for arts writing, and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle award. Wineapple is the Director of the Leon Levy Center for Biography at The Graduate School, City University of New York, she also teaches at The New School and Columbia University’s School of the Arts. This event is presented with the Forgotten Chapters project.
