Téa Obreht is the author of the New York Times best seller The Tiger’s Wife. Born in the former Yugoslavia and raised in Cyprus and Egypt, she came to the US in 1997, attended the University of Southern California, and received her MFA from Cornell. Her stories have appeared in The New Yorker, the Atlantic, and Best American Short Stories. She was the youngest writer named to The New Yorker’s “Best 20 Writers Under 40” and was named a “Best 5 Writers Under 35” by the National Book Foundation.
