Please join longtime herb grower Darlene Beauvais for a workshop on Starting and Planning an Herb Garden on Saturday, April 25th at 1:00 pm at Holly Hill Farm in Cohasset. Participants will have a chance to learn from Darlene about a variety of herbs, such as rosemary, yarrow, thyme, oregano, marjoram and many others, which are grown at Holly Hill. Darlene was in charge of Plymouth Plantation’s herbs for over ten years and she brings experience from growing her own herbs, writing extensively on their uses and selling at local farmers’ markets. There will be a follow-up workshop in the farm on drying and preparing your herbs for winter. The workshop is sponsored by the Friends of Holly Hill Farm, a non-profit organization committed to supporting educational programs at Holly Hill Farm’s fields, woods, meadows and barnyard and for schools, programs and the community. The cost for this Spring workshop is $16 for members of the Friends of Holly Hill Farm and $20 for non-members. To register, inquire further details, or learn about becoming a member of the Friends, please contact Education Director, Jon Belber (781) 383-6565 or via email at jbelberhollyhill@hotmail.com
