Following a sold out concert last spring, Concord native and violinist Sarah Whitney returns to First Parish in Concord with her New York-based string quintet, Sybarite5 for Two genre-busting shows on April 14th \& 15th 2012.
Whitney, an alumna of Concord-Carlisle High School, studied violin in the preparatory divisions of the New England Conservatory and was concertmaster of the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, before continuing her musical studies at the University of Michigan, the Cleveland Institute of Music and ultimately joining up with Sybarite5 while at the Aspen Music Festival and School. Her parents Alan and Lois Whitney still live in Concord, and she has returned frequently to give well attended solo recitals in the area.
