Wilson Mountain, Community - Park Serve Day
Saturday, April 25th, 2009 – 9AM- 3PM

Celebrate Wilson Mountain, the largest open space in Dedham, and learn about The Trustees of Reservations’ (The Trustees) new partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). Take a ranger led hike and learn about the trails and history of the mountain. Participate in a volunteer project and/or scavenger hunt. Enjoy refreshments and learn more about future plans and program offerings. Volunteer projects begin at 9AM; please register if you plan to volunteer by calling 508-785-0339. Box lunches provided to volunteers who register. Kids welcome. Wilson Mountain is located on Common Street/Route 135 near the Northeastern University Dedham Campus.

9AM – 1PM - participate in one of several volunteer projects improving the trail network, signage, and parking area
1PM – 2PM – enjoy lunch (if pre-registered) or refreshments and hear more about the new Trustees and DCR partnership

2PM – 3PM – join a ranger-led hike to discover a new trail or learn more about this special place
