Dean College Professor Dawn Poirier will give a presentation on the history and traditions that surround werewolves and vampires across America and Europe on Wednesday, October 29 at 7 p.m. in the College's Science and Technology Building, Room 16.
Prof. Poirier will discuss Halloween traditions of pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns and why these myths have persisted through the ages.
The event is open to the public and free of charge. Parking is available in the Dean Hall Parking Lot off of Emmons Street. The Science Building is a 1 minute walk from the lot.
