Meisner Acting Class: Level 1

Sandy Meisner taught actors to live truthfully in connection with each other, to be authentic, in the moment, emotionally open. Lyralen Kaye, who has been teaching since 1986, trained with Fred Kareman, one of Meisner’s original students, at Carnegie Hall while receiving her MFA in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College. This 6 week beginning class covers the steps of the famous Meisner repetition exercise, teaching actors to respond authentically on stage and screen. Scene work is included.
