Join us for an exploration of wool! Sheep were the earliest domesticated farm animal and wool is one of the most ancient and important fibers in the world. We will move through all the stages of preparing fleece - cleaning, carding, and dyeing, and then learn ways to use the fleece we've prepared - spinning, felting, and simple weaving. We will meet the ewes and lambs that produce our wool and try to spend time with them each session. Open to adults and children age 12 or older with an adult. Fees apply to all participants, both adults and children. Registration is required. Call (781) 259-2206 for details. See http://www.massaudubon.org/catalog/listing.php?program_code=1265-DFP12WI1 for more information.
