Spring is a great time to view migrating birds. We will visit local areas favored by early spring migrants such as White Pond in Concord and the heron rookery. The Chickadee Birders series at Drumlin Farm is for children ages 7-11 who have an interest in birds and want to learn more. Birding is a lifelong skill that can lead to a greater overall interest in the outdoors and the environment; it's never too early to get started learning the birding basics. Bring binoculars, a snack, and remember to dress for the weather! Fee covers one child with one adult For more information about Chickadee Birders please contact Becky Gilles at bgilles@massaudubon.org or 781-259-2223. Registration is required. Call (781) 259-2206 for details. See http://www.massaudubon.org/catalog/listing.php?program_code=1506-DFP12SP1 for more information.
