Amoskeag Fishways

The Amoskeag Fishways is an environmental education center located on the Merrimack River, in the heart of Manchester, N.H.; truly an urban nature center. We have a seasonal fish ladder, museum quality exhibits, and a wide array of innovative and fun public programs. We teach award winning school programs both on and off site that match and enliven the N.H. curriculum standards. The Amoskeag Fishways is a unique partnership between Public Service of New Hampshire, New Hampshire Audubon, New Hampshire Fish and Game Department and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. We reach an average of 25,000 people a year, 14,000 of them school children.
