Sunday at Tufts Community Concert Series: Music for Viola da Gamba and Harpsichord

Performance faculty members Jane Hershey and Frances Conover Fitch present a recital featuring music for viola da gamba and harpsichord, playing works of Marin Marais, J.S. Bach, and Francois Couperin. Their program will include Fitch's arrangements of Marais' "Pieces de viole" for harpsichord solo, as well as a suite for viol and continuo from Marais' 1686 publication, his "First Book." It will conclude with Bach's "Sonata for Viola da Gamba and Obbligato Harpsichord in G major".
