Introduction To Birdwatching

Do you enjoy watching birds but want to improve your ability to identify them? This program will teach the basics of field identification, including physical characteristics, behavior, habitat, voice, and more. Following the classroom presentation, we will help you to practice and integrate your identification skills during our field trip. Our low participant-to-naturalist ratio allows for lots of individualized attention as we work though the identification of a variety of species. Early April is a great time to hone your skills in preparation for the waves of migrants soon to come!
