The beautiful coast of southern Maine contains a variety of habitat types including barrier beaches, salt marshes, rocky headlands, and sheltered coves. Join us as we explore these habitats looking for wintering land birds and seabirds. We will visit very productive birding sites including Portland Harbor, Cape Elizabeth, Prouts Neck, Biddeford Pool, Marginal Way (Ogunquit), and Cape Neddick. Target species will include black guillemot, long-tailed duck, king eider, Barrow's goldeneye, Iceland and glaucous gulls, snowy owl, and many more.
