Dinner With The Herons

Come to Manchester-by-the-Sea for a two-hour excursion to view the evening flight of herons, egrets, and ibises into the largest heronry in Massachusetts. Kettle Island has the greatest number of nesting glossy ibises and great egrets, the only known nesting sites of tricolored herons, and the only current site for little blue heron nests in the state. We will discuss the life-and-death struggle in the colony and view the amazing spectacle of the evening flight.
