Wednesday Evening Birding

Back by popular demand! In what has become a rite of spring, we will again conduct a series of evening field trips. Join us as we enjoy a tremendous variety of both migrant and resident bird species during the quiet time on Plum Island when fewer people are present on the refuge and the animals become more active. Each evening, we will focus on a particular theme, covering such topics as bird migration, adaptations, taxonomy, habitat niches, birding strategies, and more. During these programs, we will explore the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, the Merrimack River, and other extremely productive birdwatching sites in the area. Expect beautiful birds, good conversation, a few laughs, and (we hope) spectacular sunsets! Preregistration is not necessary. Four-trip special: $30 members, $36 nonmembers.
