Get an early start on the birding day with local trips in the area. Many birds are most active early in the morning and therefore easier to see. Join Steve Grinley and explore various locations in the greater Newburyport/Plum Island area including such birding hot spots as the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island, Oak Hill Cemetery in Newburyport, Pikes Bridge Road in West Newbury, and Salisbury Beach State Reservation. The focus for these excursions will be the beautiful wood-warblers migrating through our area. Of course, we will also be on the lookout for other neotropical migrants.
