Volunteers from Massachusetts Vest-a-Dog will be available at the Santa Pet Photo event to talk about their organization and will also offer calendars featuring Massachusetts police dogs for a donation of $10 and
T-shirts for a donation of $20.
Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog is an independent, all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to raising funds to provide bullet-protective vests for police dogs throughout Massachusetts. Each vest costs $735. Since 2000, with generous donations and tireless work of our volunteers and generous support from thousands of donors, MA Vest-a-Dog is proud to have provided 268 protective vests to police dogs across Massachusetts. Their priority is providing vests to K9s working without a vest on our waiting list. They are also earnestly working to replace vests we originally provided, as the vests' warrantee expires after 5 years.
