Winter Birding Along the South Shore

Bundle up and head east to the beaches and grasslands of southeastern Massachusetts. The localities we visit will depend on recent local sightings, but we will start out at Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary, which attracts a variety of songbirds, waterfowl, and raptors. The itinerary could include Duxbury Beach and Plymouth Harbor, where we will look for wintering waterfowl. We will return to Daniel Webster at dusk to look for short-eared owls and northern harriers.
