Step back in time to experience a taste of yesterday at the Proctor Mansion Inn. It was built in 1861 by Thomas Proctor, a wealthy businessman and industrialist from Providence who earned his fortune by inventing a gimbel point for screws. He and his wife, Wrentham native Zeolide A. H. Brahman, enjoyed the home's luxury for a few short years before his death in 1865.
Daniel Brown, owner of Wrentham Straw Works, and his decendants resided at the Proctor MAnsion Inn until 1991. Today the site functions as a historic inn.
